Privacy Policy

What STS collects, what stays on your device, and the choices you have.

What we collect

STS collects very little, and there are no payments on the site.

• Email signups. If you join the updates list, we collect your email address, your first name if you give it, and which signup form you used. Netlify, our host, processes the form.
• Journal accounts. Signing in is optional. If you sign in to sync your trade journal, we store your email address, your journal entries, and the screenshots you attach, so you can see them on any device. Only you can read them; database rules block every other account.
• Technical data. Like any website, our host processes basic technical data, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

What stays in your browser

Your prop firm calculator account, guardrail limits, open trade, widget and glossary settings, and color theme are saved only in your browser on your device. Your trade journal and its screenshots stay only in your browser too, unless you sign in to sync them. Clearing your browser data deletes what is stored there, and the journal's Export backup button is a way to keep a copy.

Voice typing

The journal's Talk button uses your browser's built in speech recognition. In some browsers, including Chrome, your audio is sent to the browser maker, such as Google, to be turned into text, under that company's privacy policy. STS does not receive or store your audio. If you prefer, type your notes instead.

How we use your information

• to send STS updates, launch news, and new lessons to people who signed up
• to run, secure, and improve the site

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Services we use

• Netlify hosts the site and processes email signups.
• Supabase runs sign in and stores synced journal entries and screenshots.
• Resend sends the sign in codes to your email.
• Google Fonts serves the site's fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the fonts load.
• Market data providers supply prices to our servers. No information about you is sent to them.

STS does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies right now. If that changes, we will update this page first.

Links to other sites

Links to Discord, prop firms, EDGE, and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Payments in the future

When paid memberships launch, payments will be handled by a payment processor, and we will never see or store your full card number. We will update this policy before then to cover payments.

Your choices

• Every STS email has an unsubscribe link.
• You can ask us to delete your email address from our list at any time.
• You can sign out of your journal account at any time, and choose to clear your entries from that device. To delete your account and everything synced to it, contact us and we will remove it.
• Depending on where you live, you may have other rights, such as the right to know what we hold about you. Contact us to use them.

Children

STS is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security and changes

We take reasonable steps to protect the little information we hold, but no website is perfectly secure. If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page.
